Computer Science is the soul and psyche of many engineering branches. These fields are instrumental in bringing the world to where it is today.Global Excellence and Local Relevance in research, teaching, and technology development is the vision of the Department. The department was established in the year 2007 with B.Tech Program in Computer Science and Engineering to cater the needs of fast growing changes of IT industry. Today the Department has a vibrant student body numbering about 420. The Department of CSE started with 60 seats in B.Tech (CSE) in 2007 - 08, later intake increased from 60 to 90 in 2008 - 09, which further increased to 120 in 2009-2010. Now the department offers B.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) Program with an annual intake of 120 and M.Tech(Computer Science & Engineering) Program with an annual intake of 18.

The department is equipped with the state of the art computing facilities and experienced staff members and is known for its academic excellence proved by its performance since its inception.Excellent infrastructure and equipment is provided for the students, so that our students come out with knowledge of latest technology in both software and hardware. The Internet facility with20 Mbps Leased Line connectivity and 1 Gbps bandwidth Wi-Fi connectivity have been extended to all the students at free of cost.

A good number of students from the department obtained admissions into M.S. (Computer Science) Program abroad. The department effectively prepares students to pursue leadership, and technical positions in a variety of industries.Many of the students were placed in reputed organizations like ATOS, Infosys, Hosting Cabin, Hidden Brains, HCL, CSS Corp, Mahindra Satyam, TechMahindra, Persistent Systems, Syntel, Concierge Technologies, I ProTech global solutions, Groupware Information Systems, Optima IC, Protea Technologies, CybateInfotech, Elixir G I group and Satyam Tech in challenging positions.

It is Mr. T.Raghunadha Reddy, who has been leading the department in a successful path.There are dedicated faculty members with good amount of experience in these different areas. The faculty members are actively involved in research activities in the field of their specializations. They have published number of papers in journals and Conferences of National and International repute. The college attributes its success to the creative and innovative outlook of its students also. Students are encouraged to participate in numerous symposia to present papers and extra-curricular activities/competitions held by other universities and colleges within the state and out-side the state. The students have won laurels to the college winning prizes in competitions.Students are also made to undergo in-plant training programs, where they hone their technical skill in the realm of computers.

The curriculum of these courses is meticulously designed by the members of Board Of Studies, JNTUK, Kakinada. The syllabus for the said courses is being constantly modified; update the latest developments to keep up with the growing demands and changing trends of the software industry.

The department strives hard to impart quality education and to keep the students on the competitive edge of the present-day technology.

HOD

Mr. T. Raghunadha Redddy, M. Tech. (Ph.D) has Twelve Years of experience in Teaching, engineering industry and research .He obtained Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad and Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from MGIT, Hyderbad. Mr. T. RaghunadhaRedddy has been involved in research and published papers in international journals and one paper presented in international conference. He is the member of CSI. His area of Interest includes Data Mining and Artificial Intelligence.
